We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as health data, racial or ethnic origin, or political opinions.

Dear Romeo is a brand operated by Dalton & Hughes Pty Ltd.
Personal information collected through Dear Romeo (including names, contact details, delivery addresses, photos, and messages) is collected and held by Dalton & Hughes Pty Ltd as the data controller.

We may use or share this information within Dalton & Hughes Pty Ltd and its related brands for purposes that are directly related to operating and fulfilling our services, including:

processing and dispatching your orders;

  • accounting, auditing, and reporting;
  • customer service and support; and
  • improving our websites, products, and customer experience.

We will only use your personal information for marketing by another Dalton & Hughes brand if you have opted in or would reasonably expect to receive that communication.
For example, if you sign up to hear from Dear Romeo, you will only receive marketing about our other brands (such as Dalton & Hughes corporate gifting) if you’ve chosen to do so.

Your personal information will never be sold or rented to unaffiliated third parties.

4. Content Guidelines

Because DEAR ROMEO prints customer-submitted text and photos, you must ensure the content you upload is appropriate and that you hold all rights to it.
We may refuse to print or cancel any order containing content that is unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, hateful, threatening, or discriminatory. 

5. How We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information with:

  • Shopify, who hosts our online store and provides secure payment processing.
  • Fulfilment partners who print, pack, and deliver your cards.
  • Service providers such as payment gateways, IT support, analytics, or marketing tools (under strict confidentiality).

  • Professional advisors (e.g. auditors or lawyers) when necessary for business or compliance reasons.

All third parties are required to use your information only to perform the services we’ve engaged them for, and they must protect it in accordance with applicable laws.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform and payment infrastructure that allow us to sell our products to you.

Photo and message files uploaded for personalised orders are securely stored for a limited period (typically 90 days) before being deleted or anonymised.
